Apior Confectionery

Our Story

Michel Nevière, my great-grandfather, was a beekeeper in the 1930s in Valensole, in the south of France. He passed on his passion to my grandfather, André Nevière, who made it his profession. Together with his wife Noëlle, they founded the family business in the 1960s — Établissements Nevière — which began in the garage of their home. Over the years, it has grown into four companies: two confectioneries, Apior (located in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) and La Reine Friande (in Charente-Maritime), and two beekeeping supply stores, Nevière and ApiMiel.

In 1999, we acquired Apior, then based near Paris, and relocated it to our hometown of Valensole. Since 2014, I, Emmanuel Nevière, have represented the fourth generation and now manage the two confectionery companies.

Our Expertise

Since the 1960s, Apior has been crafting honey candies — both hard and filled — as well as honey lollipops. Thanks to decades of experience and the transmission of knowledge from one generation to the next, we can proudly say that we have become true experts in the art of making honey sweets.

Whatever the variety of your honey or the idea you have in mind, we will guide you through the process to create a high-quality candy that perfectly matches your expectations.
