The endodontic procedure involves removing bacteria from inside the tooth and the root canals. Once they have been cleaned the root canals are sealed and the tooth is then repaired with a filling or a crown. Before treatment commences, the patient will be anaesthetised so that the procedure is painless. After treatment the tooth may be sensitive but this is a highly successful dental treatment and only a small percentage of patients may in the UK experience a mild flare up around the tooth. My interest in oral surgery and associated academic work grew whilst working with eminent dentists and oral surgeons at the faculty teaching hospital.
Prevention is better than cure so by visiting Charisma Clinic for your regular dental and hygiene check-ups, we will be able to detect any signs of tooth decay or gum disease before it becomes a serious problem. Gum disease not only causes tooth loss but is also linked to heart disease and diabetes. Our dentist will thoroughly check the health of your teeth and gums and remove any build up of deposits and plaque leaving you with a clean and fresh smile. At Charisma Clinic we will also offer you dietary advise and show you how to keep your teeth and gums healthy everyday. Our aim is to help you keep your teeth for life.
Improved Oral Health: Once the dental implants integrate with your jawbone, they will provide enough stimulation to help prevent bone loss. Maintaining proper jawbone structure is important because it holds the natural shape of your face and helps hold any remaining teeth in place. Also, dental implants do not rely on other teeth to hold the restoration in place like partial dentures and bridges do. This extra stress puts those teeth at a higher risk for decay and infection. While dental implants do not require special maintenance beyond regular brushing and flossing, dentures must be removed and cleaned regularly. This may not bother others, but some patients may find it inconvenient.
Our dental services include a comprehensive treatment programme which involves routine check-ups right through to corrective fixes such as root canal therapy, fillings or dentures. Just visited this dentist. They are brilliant. As someone who has hated dentists all my life this was a very pleasant experience. They are very professional but also very caring. The whole team are 5 star. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Dr Talal for the support for my child as I thought I would never get any help until I met you. You gave me and my child confidence to be able to smile again. Amazing experience throughout all my dentistry work here at Charisma Clinic. My journey started with a friendly and hopeful consultation with Dr Rohan who advised me on the options we could take to achieve my desired smile. Going private here at Charisma Clinic eliminated long waiting lists and the feeling of a rushed process. My treatment included, Invisalign, whitening and bonding for the finishing touches and I couldn’t be any more grateful for the final outcome. You guys are fabulous and extremely hard working. Even though my journey was right in the middle of a pandemic, the quality of care you guys gave never faltered. Read more info on https://www.charisma-clinic.co.uk/.
Teeth that have been severely damaged may require a dental crown. If you have chipped, broken or fractured a tooth then our dentist will look to saving as much of the tooth as possible and restore its shape and function with a hard wearing and long lasting dental crown. On your first visit a impression is taken and then sent to a dental laboratory for the exact shaped crown to be made. This will take several days and a temporary crown may be fitted. Once your new crown arrives, we will arrange a second appointment with you where your crown will be fitted with a special strong adhesive. In some cases where there is a gap, we can fill the space with a dental bridge and use the adjacent teeth to provide the support. The crowns are made from a strong porcelain material and can be shaped and coloured to appear natural and to the shade of the rest of your teeth. Once fitted you can enjoy eating immediately.
For the most part, teeth whitening is safe—as long as it’s done correctly. What most people don’t realize before having their teeth whitened is this: because you’re dealing with live tissue (unlike hair or nails), teeth whitening can cause damage, pain, and sensitivity. The safest way to use a whitening agent like peroxide is to have a custom tray created by your dentist, then use gel refills to freshen your tooth color every 24-48 months. I’ll cover these in detail below, but there are several methods of teeth whitening I do not recommend because of safety concerns.
