Online seminary tuition fees from WBS? In order to be receive advanced standing credits, students must fully apply and request an advanced standing evaluation of their transcript. A student’s transcript will be evaluated by the academic dean. Any qualifying credits will be added to the student’s academic record at WBS. Only coursework that meets these criteria will be accepted as advanced standing: Course in Bible, theology, or Christian ministry, 300-level course or higher; B grade or higher earned by student; Fits within a student’s selected degree program at WBS. Students who have completed previous graduate-level work are eligible for transfer credit. Up to half of a full degree at WBS can be transferred from another program.

While many college students supplement their education by enrolling in free massive open online courses (MOOCs), one-on-one online tutorial programs are very much an option for university-level learners as well. Most accredited universities provide on-campus tutors, and many have expanded to also include web-based services that don’t require face-to-face instruction; in either case, the tutor is typically another college student with expertise in a given field. Financial Aid: A variety of scholarships and loan options are available to help pay for seminary. Revenues for seminary operations come primarily from outside contributions. Student tuition and fees cover only a small percentage of the total educational expenses. Loans: WBS offers federal direct unsubsidized student loans. This is a loan borrowed by the student. Interest begins to accrue on the loan at the time it is disbursed. Students may make payments on the interest while enrolled or allow it to be capitalized until repayment. Repayment begins once a student drops below half-time status, withdraws, or graduates for a period of six months.

WBS offers two types of seminary classes online: forum-based and real-time. Forum-based: Through the use of Populi, our online platform, professors and students learn from lectures, share resources, engage in conversations, and submit assignments. Students have maximum flexibility in these courses to do the work and submit assignments in ways that is most convenient for them.
