Blendi Shima has a PhD and DBA in Business Administration from SMC Business School and University of Central Nicaragua. His collaborations span across the globe. He is part of various journal editorial boards, locally and internationally, conference proceedings, and articles for scientific journals. Sokol Abazi graduated as Industrial Chemist in Albania, Tirana University in 1989. In 1997 he obtained his PhD from Fribourg University (Switzerland) in organic synthesis using radical chemistry. After a Postdoc in Total Synthesis of Natural Products at Oxford University in 1998, he worked for a couple of companies in the UK and Switzerland and then returned to Albania working as a Professor at Tirana University. Since 2015 he is a Full Professor at CIT, from 2020 he holds the Rector position. His research interests are mainly focused on natural products, organic synthesis, and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE). In the last decade, he has been working on the use of a modified “soxhlet-like” extraction technique using sub-critical CO2.
