I said in the beginning that there were a few caveats. The Voltage needs to be the same or at least very close to that required by the laptop. Regardless, it’s essential to get the right polarity! A charger with the wrong polarity can cause your laptop to overheat. If your laptop is equipped with a polarity fuse, the fuse will blow.
